So, “how are we doing?” I hear you ask.

We’re trying a new format for our newsletter this month. Instead of feedback on our family and projects within this post, we are going to provide links to posts that we have written to be ongoing feedback. Just click the link in each section to take you to the areas that interest you the most. We hope this will condense the newsletters and make them more user friendly. Let us know what you think?

Lent Fast 2018

Lent concluded on Sunday the 25 March, Palm Sunday, a week before Easter. During Lent we ran a 40 day material possessions fast, in which we encouraged people to pray over what possessions they could give up to gift to those less fortunate. Head over to these two links to see the initial launch and reflection on the Lenten 2018 journey.

THE Way Blog

Steve has continued with writing pieces for our blog. He splits his time between either compiling feedback on projects and ministry opportunities, or writing reflections on spiritual formation. Have a look through the links below:

Vision and mission workshops

Steve has completed some vision and mission workshops with local churches and NGO’s. It seems God is opening new doors for further workshops in Rustenburg. Please pray with us for the people and communities that we hope will be positively impacted by this invaluable process.

Camp Kaleidoscope

We are involved again with this project in 2018. Steve has handed over the reins to a new committee chair, and is now focusing on mentoring him into this new role. The intention is to solidify a long term leadership team that will be able to steer this project for many years to come. He still sits on the committee, and currently oversees the finances. He will also be involved in the day events in an operational capacity.

Loving our Kids on Purpose

Steve will facilitate this wonderful parenting course at least three times during the course of 2018 in local churches. The first run is currently in week four of four. This course was developed by Danny and Sheri Silk, out of Bethel in Redding, California. Steve’s role is to coordinate the sessions and facilitate small group discussion following the DVD teaching. If you are interested in providing this opportunity to parents in your church community, or wish to attend yourselves, please contact us to discuss.

Daily and weekly ministry

We have recently updated our website to provide some more information around what our daily, weekly and monthly ministry might look like, as a product of our vision. For regular information please follow our Facebook page. Have a look at the following links if you’re interested in reading more.

Our family:

We are trusting God that 2018 will be the year in which our finances stabilise. Please pray with us for an increase in the number of partners, who will support our family financially, so we can carry on with the work to which we’ve been called.

Ministry leaders:

Please continue to pray for ministry leaders throughout the Rustenburg area. There are amazing people, doing phenomenal work within the Kingdom. Please pray for them, their families and the churches that gather to worship together.

Please continue to pray that we will keep our focus on God and loving His people through any projects we commit to. Successful completion of projects is nothing without love, and we need constant support to keep our eyes on the main goal!

(If you would like to support us regularly in prayer, please contact us here to sign up for our monthly prayer request email.)

Partnership takes many forms: prayer, financial support, hands on service, relationship.
